Some things I like about myself.
I can be part of social circles that are drastically different from each other but still be completely myself. I guess that’s always been a part of me, even since high school. I tend to have friends who wouldn’t be friends with each other.
I’m glad to know this quality has stayed with me through college. The friends from my sorority or the women’s college probably wouldn’t be friends with most of the people from Demarest (my dorm which is full of creatives/hipsters) or from The Core (the radio station I work for). With exceptions of a few, of course.
My friends remind me of the music I listen to. My drummer friend who tends to be a douchebag actually complimented my taste the other day and said it’s “just completely you.” There’s something to like in every genre, just like there is something to like in every group. Love and learn from the best of everything.
